Specialties:
Hi! My name is Nina Visconti. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Ohio. I have a Bachelor’s in Sociology and Criminology as well as a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked with clients of varying ages including young children, adolescents, teenagers, young adults, and families. I have successfully worked with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, abuse, anger, insecurities, sexual identity confusion, and trauma.
I believe that each individual must be met “where they are at” and should have a space to speak freely without fear of judgement or punishment.
While I do put a major focus on each individual, I also recognize that today’s social climate has an influence on our mental health. Taking that into consideration, I am an advocate for working to empower each individual, encouraging them to be their healthiest and unique self.
I use an integrated approach to therapy, combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Client Centered Therapy, Art Therapy, and Feminist Therapy. As your therapist, I can promise you that I will advocate for and support you through whatever you may be struggling with. Mental health has always been my passion because no one deserves to feel alone. If you are reading this and you feel like you can’t get through it alone, please know that this will pass and you are stronger than you think.
